I totally forgot...

Ooooo...Happy Anniversary, Happy Anniversary,
Happy Anniversary, Haaappy Anniversary!

Yesterday was the 2nd anniversary of The Wayne Fontes Experience! Jeez, Al. Hell, I've always had trouble remembering dates, just ask my ex-wife...

My first post was January 3rd, 2006. At the time, I didn't even know what this blog was going to be. I knew that I would write a little about sports, but I didn't think it would become totally sports-centric. It just sort of evolved into a Detroit sport blog over the first couple months. Good thing, as who would want to know my thoughts on what crapola I watched the night before, right?

I honestly didn't expect TWFE to be alive, well, and doing better than ever 2 years later. Let alone people actually reading it! I'm thrilled that my little corner of the internets is still growing by leaps and bounds.

So...Here's to another year of MSM bashing, ESPN hating, Rob Parker baiting, front office bitching, giving praise where praise is due, questioning otherwise, and just plain enjoying the Detroit sports scene!

I owe a big "Thank you" to all of you out there that read and link to TWFE. Thanks for reading!

  4. Wow, has it really been two years? Good googaly moogaly!

I've been meaning to send you an e-mail saying this, but I might as well say it here, since the occasion is appropriate. You've been doing a fantastic job, Al. You're a frickin' fearless blogging machine, and TWFE is the must-read site in the Detroit sports blogosphere. I consider myself to call you a friend and blogging compatriot.

    Congratulations on two years.
