Tigers 8, Yankees 3, MSM 0
I'm not sure what to say about the last 3 Detroit Tigers wins.
Wow? w00t? Whew?
Holy mother of God, the Tigers did the unthinkable! At least unthinkable according to the MSM...
The Evil Empire has been slain, put to rest, and possibly on the verge of now being blown up. All that by a team that, before the season, I was hoping against hope could put together a .500 season. Baseball sure is a funny game, isn't it?
I never thought I'd see a better performance than the Gambler's on Friday. Then Jeremy Bonderman, he of the great stuff, greater potential, but uncertain constitution, matched, if not bettered, the Gambler. Just 2 stunningly good pitching performances, under bright lights and intense pressure, that sent the "Greatest lineup of all time" packing.
I'm still gathering my thoughts about everything that has transpired over the past week. I'm sure I'll have much more to say during the week in anticipation of the ALCS. But for the time being, about all I can say is...
Well done.
